El Abierto de Estados Unidos o conocido anteriormente como Campeonato Nacional de Estados Unidos, se disputa anualmente entre agosto y septiembre. El primer torneo se realizó el 31 de agosto de 1881 en el complejo Newport Casino, y desde 1978, el torneo se disputa en el USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, en Nueva York.

Este torneo de tenis, que cronológicamente ocupa el cuarto y último torneo oficial de Grand Slam, se juega en cinco modalidades: individuales de hombres, individuales de mujeres, dobles de mujeres, dobles de hombres y dobles mixtos, adicionalmente también hay torneos para jugadores juniors y seniors.
